The ASIET ISA Students Branch Under the aegis of ISA Bangalore Section had hosted the much- awaited technical symposium IACT19 within the reverberating grounds of ASIET on 30th March 2019.The Inaugural function was organized at the main seminar hall at 9.30 am. The honorary Guests on the Dias for the event were Dr. Sunil Shah, President, ISA Bangalore, Mr. S Ramachandran, Executive Director-Projects BPCL Kochi, Mr. Renuka Prasad Belgur, Business Mentoring and Advisory especially to SME sector through MentorWise Advisors ,Mr. B Ravi, Executive Committee member of ISA Bangalore Section, Mr. Sukumaran M, Principal Consultant – Automation at IndustriConnect Technologies Pvt Ltd., Bangalore, Prof. S.R.Venkatapathy , Director, Trinity Advisory Corporation, Asha Panikkar, Principal in charge, ASIET, Prof.R Rajaram, Dean ASIET, Projects, Dr. Arya Devi PS, HOD, Dept of Applied Electronics & Instrumentation.
ASIET with nearly two decades of history in procuring casting and disseminating sculpted talents into the busy competitive world had been successful in instilling the confidence and fortitude among its students with the right mix of industry collaborations, social innovations, technical contributions, international research & fellowships, industrial internships, school level tech exhibitions and many more.
As a customary Dr Sunil shah, president ISA Bangalore was invited upon to deliver the welcome address to the curious audience of futuristic engineers. Mr. Shah, has his share of industrial experience exceeding over three decades in process engineering, product development, technology/engineering management and process analytics experience with well-known organizations like GE, Kvaerner Power gas, IIT Bombay, etc.
Mr. Sunil’s speech was followed by the presidential address that had been emanated by Prof. Asha Panikar. Later on, with the culmination of her speech the traditional lamp lighting and prayer took place that marked the official inauguration of the auspicious event by the guests after which the chief Guest for the event Mr.PS Ramachandran was invited upon to the Dias to deliver the inaugural address. The felicitation ceremony was duly performed in collusion by Dr Arya Devi PS and Professor R Rajaram.
Once the inaugural ceremony came to an end the students were dissolved to different venues where their event of interest had been scheduled. Students were given the opportunity to choose among the four sub technical events namely project, paper presentations, Robo rash, and technical quiz.
The national level event like always saw no backdrop in the magnitude of participation with nearly 180+ students and professionals flocking together to brainstorm, network, collaborate, review project/paper presentations and having a prolific time with the titans of the industry together for an entire day.
The volunteers especially the event coordinators at ISA ASIET too had a vivacious time interacting and networking with the delegates, executives and other industrial harbingers without compromising on the effectiveness and efficiency on program coordination.
The parallel events that took place in the forenoon session were robo-rash and technical quiz that had witnessed a gushing inflow of participants from over 15 colleges falling under the ISA Bangalore section, participants for robo- rash had a challenging time churning their heads off to control their bot through the hideous tracks before time ticks off. Whilst the spectators gleamed the performance of various bright minds in the technical quiz arena where there was a war for opportunities .17 Enthusiastic teams had participated in the event.
Forenoon session had wrapped up by 12.30pm wherein all the delegates and guests for the event were directed towards lunch being served in the college canteen. The afternoon session was ignited by another set of parallel events where students had been delegated with the opportunities to present and pitch their ideas and present technical papers in front of an honored jury.
Eventually the well-received ignited program came to a conclusion with the valedictory ceremony wherein executive panel of guests from ISA Bangalore discussed the future prospective programs that were in line for the year ahead, some of the delegates were invited to deliver their valuable feedback regarding the program execution, organization and the environment at ASIET and the program finally marked its end with Prof. Sreedeep Krishnan, Mentor, ISA ASIET and chief coordinator of I-Act2019 conveyed thanks to commemorate all who had contributed in making the event a successful one.
